Job Description - Electric Lawn Care Technician

 

Location: Falls Church/Fairfax near Mosaic District

 

Work Period: Seasonal (March-December)

 

This is a part time and seasonal position with potential to be full time depending on the candidate. 20-30 hours per week. Monday through Friday with Saturday on occasions. 

 

Pay is $18/hour.

 

Duties/Tasks:

 

• Mow lawns using all electric lawn care equipment in a timely and professional manner

• Perform other support lawn maintenance tasks such as fertilizer and grass seed application, lawn aerations.

• Perform landscaping tasks such as mulch installation, weed pulling, leaf clean ups, and bush trimming

• Keep equipment batteries charged and make sure solar generator is charging during the day

• Update status of jobs and track job time in task management application

• Drive company vehicle to assigned lawns on route in a safe manner

• Maintain equipment by cleaning underneath mower decks, removing debris, and sharpening mower blades.

• Take vehicle to the mechanic shop for repairs and take lawn care equipment to dealer for repairs.

 

Requirements:

 

• Need to be able to speak proficient English

• Must be at least 18 years old

• Must pass background check

• Must possess good work ethic and excellent customer service skills

• Must be on time and must have reliable transportation to Little Foot office location

• Must display professionalism with teammates and clients at all times

• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job (more descriptions below)

• Need to have valid Driver’s license and good driving record

• Ability to perform the physical demands of the position including lifting up to 75 lbs (weight of the lawn mower), standing, walking, crouching, kneeling and reaching with hands and arms. 

• Ability to use self-propelled & push lawn mowers and hold trimmer for multiple lawns at a time in one day

• Able to work independently and with a team

• Knowledge of lawn care techniques and safe operation of lawn mowing equipment.

• Must be able to operate a lawn mower, trimmer, edger, and leaf blower in a safe and professional manner.

• Must be willing to learn how to operate fertilizer spreader and lawn aerator

• Ability to flex your schedule due to changing weather conditions including having availability on Saturdays

• Agree to and adhere to company policies at all times
